
Our Meeting
Welcome to IFSC Toastmasters club!
Each session follows a structured format designed to help members practice speaking, receive constructive feedback, and develop confidence.
Whether you're a seasoned speaker or just starting out, our meetings offer a safe space to grow and connect with others who share your goals.
Here's what you can expect when you attend our meeting!

Opening and Introductions
The meeting starts with a welcome from the club President and the Toastmaster who moderates the meeting of the day, followed by introductions and descriptions of roles played by members during the meeting.

Prepared Speeches
Two or three members deliver speeches based on projects from their chosen Pathways learning track, focusing on specific skills.

Table Topics
An impromptu speaking session where members and guests respond to prompts or questions with short, unprepared speeches.

Evaluations
Evaluators provide constructive feedback on the prepared speeches, focusing on strengths and areas for improvement.​

Closing Remarks
The meeting concludes with announcements and any final thoughts from the club president.
Club meeting Roles
The success of a club meeting depends on the participants. At each meeting, there are many roles to fill and they play an important part in making the club experience enjoyable.
Toastmaster The Toastmaster is a meeting's director and host, moderates the overall meeting.
Poetmaster The Poetmaster starts the meeting by reading a short poem of significance.
Ah-Counter The purpose of the Ah-Counter is to note any overused words or filler sounds.
Grammarian The Grammarian helps club members improve their grammar and vocabulary.
Timer Taking on this role improves time management skills.
Topicsmaster The Topicsmaster manages the Tabletopic session, inviting members and guests to practice their impromptu speaking skills.
Table Topics Speaker Table Topics helps members develop their impromptu speaking skills.
Speaker Every speaker is a role model and club members learn from one another's speeches.
Evaluator Evaluators provide verbal and written feedback to meeting speakers.
General Evaluator The General Evaluator evaluates everything that takes place during the club meeting.

Attending the meeting as a guest
Guests are always very welcome!
As a guest, you can attend our meetings, listen to our members take on roles and deliver speeches, without any duty or responsibility! If you’d like, you can also join the Table Topics session (the impromptu speaking session) as a speaker.
Guests can attend our meetings for free up to 3 times. After that, to actively participate, you’ll need to become a member.
